Though this is a
"private web" site, some of our members have allowed us to publish their letters
and photos to encourage the rest of you who are on the "single journey". Many
others preferred to keep the matter private as you can understand. These letters
are addressed to the previous caretaker of Apostolic Friends, Sis. Lynna
Lundsford and myself.

Dear Apostolic Friends,
I just wanted to say thank you for your ministry. Because of Apostolic Singles I am married today. I met a handsome and brilliant man on AS 2 years ago. We were married on December 15, 2006. I would love to share some pics with you of our wedding if I could.
God Bless,
Allison and Jesse B.
Words of Wisdom...
...Pray for God's will in your life, be patient,
and have high standards when choosing a mate and
DO NOT settle for anything less.
After Bible college and secular college I became
worried that maybe I would never get married. You
see in Apostolic circles single gals age 26 seem
to have a stigma attached to them...or at least I
thought so. BUT...I remembered the wise advice
of one of my professors at IBC, Rev. David Norris,
and encouraged myself not to settle but spend
time becoming all that God wanted me to become.
Honestly, I dedicated my time and energy to
understanding myself before "I got myself married". I
found out what I liked and disliked in a mate. I tied
up loose ends with friends and family. I became a
whole person for the first time in my life.
Then...and ONLY at that point in my life could I
involve someone else to share with me my
life's adventure. I am so glad I waited until I was 28 to
marry. It was God's perfect timing.
I recommend reading "Finding the Love of Your
Life" by Neil Clark Warren, a Christian counselor
and founder of Eharmony.com
God Bless you in your search,
Allison B.

Dear Apostolic Friends,
This is Gabe AKA=Holyghost93 and I have been meaning to write this thank you
letter ever since Claudia AKA=Claudia7 got engaged last year. But now I am
happy to report we recently were married and are very happy and thankful
that God brought us together using your site.
Admittedly we were both very skeptical about using the internet to meet our
soul mate. We also were both a little embarrassed about having to go to the
internet, because both felt we did not have a problem attracting people to
us. But we both realized we were not attracting what we wanted or what God
wanted for us as Holyghost filled Apostolics. At first it was hard to tell
people how we met, because we were sort of embarrassed to say, but God has
dealt with our pride and we don't mind telling people.
I would like to say, for those still looking don't give up, Claudia was not
the first person I met on Apostolic Friends, I met many great people before
her and made some new friends. God then brought Claudia to me and it was a
match made in Heaven! I have attached some photos too.
We can thank you enough for this site, it was the best investment I ever
made!!!!!!!
Lord Bless,
Brother Gabe and Sister Claudia(Holyghost93 and Claudia7)

Greetings in Jesus Name!
Dear Apostolic Friends Admin,
Thank you for the wonderful media and beneficial services you’ve designed and provided to the Apostolic singles at home and abroad. Your ministry and tool that you’ve skillfully provided have been a very special blessing to many.
The intent of my email is to inform you of a great and wonderful work that God performed earlier this year. Words cannot express how delighted I am to share this most awesome blessing of the Lord with you and the members of Apostolic Friends. After much prayer, living in accordance to the will of God and seeking his continued will for our lives, we encountered a once in a lifetime heavenly introduction, which occurred thanks to Apostolic Friends. It been the instrument that God used to introduce and unite Debbie (Logi) and Mike (Mike0113) as dear friends and future husband and wife. We will be married on August 6, 2005.
Please also use this notification as a request to remove our accounts and profiles from the Apostolic Friends database and network. We’ve both enjoyed our experience and appreciate the useful features within the AF database. Thank you for your kindness.
God bless you all!

Dear Sis.
Lynna,
Greetings in
Jesus name. I am writing to thank you for your wonderful ministry and to
inform you that you can now remove two names from "Apostolic Friends".
Sis. Kim Pollard from Jacksonville, Fl. and Bro. Ken McDougal Jr. from
Augusta, Ga. We will be getting married on Sunday, Jan 21, 2001 at 2:00
pm. at the Church of Pentecost (Pastor-Rick Olson). We will be living in
Jacksonville and attending the church there. We are very excited about
what The Lord has done and how He has orchestrated this union from the
very beginning. God opened every door and even when circumstances were
changing all around us, The Lord intervened. It had been 19 years for me
to find God's choice for a wife and over 10 years for Sis. Kim since her
husband died. Many times we both thought we'd be single for life, but God
indeed had other plans. We want to encourage anyone out there who thinks
God has forgotten about them to not worry or fret. God has not forgotten
what we need and want. We had to wait a long time, but it was NOT our
timing but God's timing that counts and we are very happy. God Bless you
and this ministry--Bro. Ken McDougal, Jr.
Sis. Lynna,
I am so
grateful to you for I have gotten to know you and work with you and I am
with mixed feelings right now. I am happy for my new life but I am sad
because I am leaving Apostolic Friends. I will indeed miss you and a lot
of the people I got to meet over this mailing list. I will continue to
pray for you and this singles ministry for I must give you some of the
credit. God used you to bring me my future husband. I am so happy and we
did a lot of praying to make sure this was of God before we leaped into
anything. I really got a chance to know him and he did me. My pastor and
my church are so happy for us Sister and support our union. I will forward
you pictures of our wedding day as soon as possible. I love you sister and
I hope you and I will keep in touch before we meet in Heaven! God bless!
P.S. Feel
free to share our letter with Apostolic Friends!

Hello in
Jesus Name!
I am writing to let you know that hard work for God does not go in vain!
Once again, you get another announcement! (smile) My name is Belinda
Adams and I met Kenneth Van Owen as we were both members of Apostolic
Friends and are now getting married in December of this year.
I just
wanted to let you know and will send a picture as soon as possible and
formally ask for removal from the website then. We both feel so much in
the will of God and when that is certain, it's a wonderful feeling. I
have always been told that no matter how long it takes for God to send you
the one He wants for you....when it happens in His way, it won't matter
anymore how long it took to get you two together. That really is true! I
am so glad that I waited on Him and did not get impatient and take matters
into my own hands and make a mistake! This is too important of a decision
to do that! Thanks to everyone who works so hard on the website your
effort may or may not be seen by all, but God sees it!
love,
Belinda Adams (VanOwen) |

Greetings in
Jesus name.
I figured it was about time I wrote you and gave you the good news. (Other
than my salvation that is)
Through Apostolic Friends I have met and married the most wonderful
Pentecostal woman. Holly Edwards of Prentiss, Mississippi and I were
married on August 4th 2000 at New Chapel UPC in Collins, Mississippi. We
have decided to make New Chapel UPC our home church. And so far married
life is wonderful.
We met through AF in February, and were married in August. Seems fast, but
the Holy Ghost anointed both of us. I dearly love my new pastor Ron Bohde
his family and the entire church body. I couldn't have asked for a better
blessing.
Sister Lunsford, May the Lord Jesus richly bless and keep you all of your
days with us.....

Sis.
Lunsford,
I am requesting that you take my name off of the bio page list. Belinda
and I hit it off right away and are now planning our wedding for Dec. 16,
2000. There is no doubt that God brought us together and we see His
handiwork in our relationship. I would like to thank you for having this
web page for Apostolic singles, as God used it as a tool in my life.
Belinda is everything I could ask for, and it is awesome how the Lord
worked all of this out.

Dear Sis.
Lynna & Apostolic Friends:
We would
like everyone to know We are getting MARRIED!!! :-) Thanks to Jesus and
Apostolic Friends, we found each other. We began by talking on ICQ back in
September. Ryan came to Louisiana for Thanksgiving, which was our first
time meeting. Danielle went to Ohio for Christmas, which is when we became
engaged.
In February,
Ryan moved from Ohio to Louisiana, which is where we will live until the
Lord leads us elsewhere. Our wedding is scheduled for this Saturday, June
3 @ First Pentecostal Church in Slidell, Louisiana. We just want everyone
to know, that it is possible to meet the person of your dreams, IF you
"wait on the Lord"! Psalm 27:14k

our appreciation for this ministry when we return. We will be glad to

Hello and
God bless!
I would like
to request that my Bio be removed from Apostolic Friends. Shortly after
subscribing, God brought a wonderful young woman into my life and we are
now engaged. I never really had the opportunity to fully partake of this
service; however, I'm thankful for the many responses I received and the
people I met through it. Furthermore, kudos to you for providing a much
needed service for a very lonely group of Apostolics. I'm sure it's taxing
at times, but your efforts are greatly appreciated. My userid is bhartun.
May God continue to bless and keep you.

Dear Sis.

I want to
take this time to thank you so much for Apostolic Friends ministries. For
it was through this avenue that I met a very wonderful and precious lady,

planning an April wedding!!! (Hallelujah! She said yes and the ring is on
her finger!!!) :o))))))))
So
respectively, I am requesting that my bio page be taken off the site and
Zoraida will be submitting her request also. However, I am sending a
picture of us that you may use to post elsewhere along with this letter. I
want the whole world to know how happy we are!!!! Once again, thank you
Sis. Lunsford for your ministry! God is truly blessing your efforts and if
possible I would like this poem to accompany this announcement.

Praise the
LORD Saints....
I have some
good news and some bad news.... The GOOD news is that I got married on
Tuesday September 28, at about 8:30pm in my mother-in-law's house... I am
very happy, my wife is a very wonderful woman...GOD is very good, and as
along as you have the faith, it can and will move mountains...
The BAD news
is that due to my defunct single status, I shall have to remove my name
from the list serve. Fortunately I will keep up with all of my "older"
friends...but I have to let the younger female ones go...(no problem, I
already have a best friend in Jesus and my wife). Unfortunately I will not
be able to read all of the funny, funny christian jokes...
Sister Lynna
this is a nice wonderful ministry that you have put together here. When I
first signed up, I had just broken up with my fiancee, I knew that this
was the person that GOD had chosen for me (my rib), but I still was very
heartbroken. Since I was single, I decided to apply to the listserver.
Well when I lost my fiancee, I lost my best friend, my spiritual partner,
someone I could have fun with, and someone who could make me smile. In a
little over a month GOD supplied my needs, although it came in the form of
three different people. He gave me someone who could understand what I was
going through, and he gave me someone to help cheer me up, and then he
sent me someone who could help keep me aware of my spirituality (some of
you know how the devil likes to kick and stomp on us when we are down).
All through out I held fast to my faith, and GOD allowed me to see that
things were done for a reason. Now today we are happily married, I
believed, and I held fast to my faith even when it seemed like vapors and
wisps of smoke were all I had, I held fast. I am enjoying a better and
closer walk with GOD, and I have a desire to not just make it, but to make
it with flying colors. I want to be all that I can be in CHRIST and not in
this world.
Sometimes
some of us really and truthfully need to seek GOD with all of our hearts,
and no just half. Sometimes we need to do like we say, so that when we say
we are trying to be satisfied with him, or trying to focus on him, we
should instead of keeping our eye open for that special other. It is a lot
easier to say than do. I know... But when I lost interested in all women
(no I am not coming out of the closet) and my interest in GOD increased,
MAN did things begin to happen. And I do know that the devil is a LIAR!!!
Well folks
that is all, a small testimony... Sister Lynna please remove me from the
listserver when you get the chance. thank you for all of the wonderful
stories and testimonies and jokes my fellow saints!!!
May I abide
in his house forever!!!

I just
wanted to drop you this little note and let you know that one of my most
sincere prayers has finally been answered. At long last, I have met the
man who God intended for me to marry. His name is Gary Knapp and he is
from Ohio. I am overwhelmed to realize that God remembered my prayers and
is at last making a dream come true. God really is faithful to His
promises. I am grateful for my friends who believed that God hadn't
forgotten that desire of my heart when I'd given up on ever finding
someone who would "wow" me. What can I say? You were right. I was wrong.
Your faith was stubborn - - mine was shaky at times. God really is a
"prayer answering God" ... and He knows exactly the desires of our hearts.
............... I am overwhelmed to realize that God remembered my prayers
and is at last making this dream come true. God really is faithful to His
promises. Our wedding is scheduled for Saturday, October 23, 1999, in
Beaumont, Texas.
Thanks for
all of your encouragement over the past few months. Your ministry through
the Apostolic Friends web site has been such a blessing to me. May God
richly bless you!!

near future. We've been talking since April. God bless you for your time
and effort.

Sis. Lynna,
i was
wanting to inform you that a few weeks ago, i began writing to a young
apostolic lady that i met through the free email list. through much prayer
and the Lord's leading, i have come to realize that she is the one meant
for me. It has all happened very quickly, but we both know that God has
ordained this and made this to happen this way. since this is the case, i
am requesting that my bio page be removed from the paid website.
i appreciate
what you are doing in this ministry and i thank God that you were willing
to allow yourself to be used in this manner. i pray that God will give
both you and your husband all that He has in store for you and will lead
the two of you on to greater things in the future.. in Jesus Name,
christopher
